Action Trainings (FATS)
Each
year, in cities across the country, GIFT offers a two-day, intensive
introduction to effective grassroots fundraising for non-profit
organizations. The FATs provide hands-on training through discussions,
strategy sessions and role plays. Learn from experienced fundraisers,
share skills and knowledge, and have fun!
Fundraising
Action Trainings (FATs) cover the basics of grassroots fundraising
including movement building and fundraising, who gives, who gets,
the principles of fundraising and creating a development plan. Trainings
are two days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. These trainings are
targeted for new fundraising staff and board members and are open
to the general non-profit public.

Registration
The cost of registration is $200 for the first participant, $150
for the second and $100 for additional individuals from your organization.
GIFT also provides a limited number of partial scholarships for
each training. Registration costs include the two-day training,
fundraising manual, and four meals.

SCHOLARSHIPS
If you need a partial scholarship, please download and

We must receive requests for scholarships at least 2 weeks prior
to the training. One
scholarship per organization. Available scholarships are
limited, so we encourage you to send us your application
as soon as possible. Please fax (510-452-2111) or email

[at] grassrootsfundraising [dot] org. Do not submit
payment via our website until we have determined your eligibility
for a partial scholarship.
CANCELLATION POLICY
GIFT's policy is that we must receive cancellations AT LEAST
one week prior to the training in order to provide a full refund.
Registrants who cancel less than one week prior to the training
date will be charged one-half of the fee. Cancellations the
day of the training will not be refunded. We must receive your
payment in order to reserve your space in the training.
